This is an illustration of a typical balloon launch system. We began with a system exactly like the one in this image for our first launches. Over time we decided to remove the shroud ring; we found it would save weight without tangling our parachute lines. We have not used the anchor line guide rings. We have also used different sized payload boxes depending on the experiments flown.
