This is an illustration of a typical balloon launch system. We began with an exact replica of this image for our first launches.
Over time we decided to remove the shroud ring, as we found it would save weight without jeapording the tangling of our parachute lines.
The purpose of the anchor line guide rings is to have the ability to launch the system from a vertical position. We have not utilized that launching
procedure. Click on this video link to show a typical launch.
We have also used different sized payload boxes depending on the experiment being flown.
